A boarding pass from a trip you took in the spring. A recipe someone sent you in a group chat. A Wi-Fi password taped to a router, photographed instead of typed. A meme. Three versions of the same meme. You tell yourself you'll clean it up eventually, and you never do, because scrolling through a wall of thumbnails to find one specific thing is miserable. Here's the part that surprised me when I actually sat down and tested it: you don't have to scroll anymore. Both Google Photos and Apple's Photos app can now search the actual content of your screenshots and pictures — the text on the screen, the objects in the frame, sometimes even the vibe of the image. Type "boarding pass" and it finds the boarding pass. Type "blue jacket" and it finds the blue jacket, no caption required....
