Your Second Brain App Isn't the Problem — Your Capture Habit Is

The Graveyard Everyone Has Open your Notion workspace right now. Or your Obsidian vault, or whatever app you picked up during that one ambitious weekend eight months ago. I'll bet you there's a page in there called something like "System Overview" or "Home Dashboard," and I'll bet the last edit on it is from a Tuesday you can barely remember. I've written before about why to-do list apps die after three weeks, and second-brain apps die the exact same way, just slower. They don't collapse in a dramatic crash. They fade. You stop adding new notes, then you stop opening the app at all, and six months later you find it and feel a weird mix of guilt and relief when you close the tab again.
